Director: Susan Tokayer, MSW, CSW

Susan Tokayer founded Family Helpers in 1995. A former psychiatric social worker, Susan has become an expert in the in-home childcare industry. She has been interviewed by the New York Times, Westchester Family and Westchester Parent magazine.

Susan has served on the INA (International Nanny Association) board of directors since 2002, and currently serves as the First Vice-President. She chairs the National Nanny Credential Exam.

As a mother of two, Susan had difficulty finding quality in-home childcare for her own children, which led to the inception of Family Helpers. As a working mother and caretaker for an elderly parent, Susan understands the importance of hiring appropriate helpers for busy families. "Where children or other family members are concerned,
people are looking for a professional's experience and sound judgment to help guide them through."
